Sony A7s, Zeiss 55mm FE, 1/200 @ f5.6, ISO 100        Golden Spider Lily,  Lycoris aurea    Like the more common Red Spider Lily, the Golden makes seeds, but only reproduces from bulbs.  Those bulbs are poisonous, and the plant is frequently used to ward off mice and other rodents.  The flower often appears after rain in September, and thus is called the Hurricane Lily.  Click the image for a better view.
