Louisiana State Exhibit Museum, Shreveport

When I was a young child, my family lived across the street from this museum. It has eighteen of these dioramas sculpted from beeswax. It was fascinating to me then, and remains so today. Very eclectic collection, something for everyone’s taste.

My town Natchitoches is known for our Christmas Festival with lights and fireworks. Every Saturday in December, plus New Years’ Eve, and again on the 4th of July, we have a big fireworks show. Here are a few shots from those shows.

I only live two blocks from the launch site,  so even if I don’t make the effort to go downtown, I get a pretty good show.
