Several hundred kids and their families converged on the Cane Riverfront this morning for Reading on the Cane, an annual event sponsored by the Service League and the Natchitoches Parish Library. Booths offered games, fun, and prizes. Mayor Williams and wife Tiffany were among the readers, but the big draw was a table of free books for young readers.
