This is Louis Albery Webb and Elizabeth Rebecca Murray Webb.  I never knew him, but when I was 17, we took Great Grandma Becky (Little Grandma) to South Louisiana, which meant a trip across the Lake Ponchartrain Causeway. It is 26 miles across, she could not take her eyes off the expanse of water and kept asking if it was the ocean
My mother's parents, David Webb and Pearl Slade Webb. This was shot very early in their marriage, I suppose. They reared seven children on a small farm in Union Parish Louisiana.

My father's mother passed away when Dad was a child.  My Grandfather Napoleon Barney Carter and his second wife Maude pose with my baby sister Linda at Melrose Plantation. Grandpa Poly was a mechanic, and also owned a Nightclub.  Louis Armstrong played there a couple times, I'm told.

My father's Mother. Louise Provence Wardlow Carter.  She was adopted and some think Cherokee.  I don't know a lot about her, but she died while my father and his sister were quite young.

William and Angie Carter were my father's grandparents. His father moved to Montgomery, Louisiana from Lenoir County NC after serving in the War between the States. Both spent their lives as farmers in Grant Parish.  My daughter is named for Angie.
