For those of you who thought we just cut up the tree that graced our house, I thought I'd let you know that we did save some of it.  My friend Charles came over with his sawmill, and cut some nice oak boards from the better part.   We expect to make a mission-styled coffee table from one board, and a friend will  make a cabinet from the others.  The rest of the oak will go to a nearby barbecue restaurant for making pigs taste better.
